Synod 2018 — Cardinal Wilfrid Napier of Durban shares his first impression of Synod on Youth


Cardinal Wilfrid Napier, Archbishop of Durban, shared his first impressions of the Synod for Youth under way in Rome.

Cardinal Napier is one of three South African bishops at the Synod. Bishops Siegfried Mandla Jwara of Ingwavuma and Stanislaw Dziuba of Umzimkulu are also present. Cardinal Napier was one of five bishops voted onto the Synod’s important Information Commission at the beginning of the Synod. The Commission has the important task of disseminating information and news on the Synod.

Linda Bordoni of Vatican News spoke to Cardinal Napier to get his first impressions of the Synod:
